Here is a clever way to install apps via the Alt+F2 Gnome ‘Run Application’ Dialog box.
Press Alt+F2 to open the Gnome ‘Run Application’ Dialog box
Type in apt:sysinfo
Enter your pw when asked then click ‘Install’
The install will continue and close when finished.
