Secure FTP Passwords

I have seen a rash of hacked accounts recently because of insecure FTP passwords. There are many free tools hackers will use to gain access to a cpanel account in order to exploit the server via spam, shell or iframe redirect. The simlest and most effective solution is to secure these passwords which will stop most if not all of this behavior. Failure to do so is simply lazy on the owners part.

Please do not contact your hosting support and cry and complain because you failed to use bare minimum simply security measures and now you are listed in an RBL and Google has you blocked as a malicious site and you are getting thousands of bounced emails.
