Firefox, Ubuntu and OpenOffice.org software are among the winners Softonic Awards 2009. The competition, now in its 6th year, recognizes the best software of the year elected by the portal users Softonic.
This year, all sites Softonic were able to participate in this vote, which concerned the platforms Windows, Mac, Linux, Palm, Pocket PC and of course mobile phones. For the first time, the Softonic Awards winners were selected on the basis of user ratings of 8 major international Softonic sites.
In the major categories, the winners are:
Mozilla Firefox (browser),
NOD32 (antivirus),
FIFA 09 (video game),
Windows Live Messenger (Messenger / VoIP),
OpenOffice.org (office) and Adobe Photoshop (Design & Photography ).
