Same as [keyword].<br \/>\ntitle:[keyword] \u2014 finds waves which have [keyword] in the title.<br \/>\ncaption:[keyword] \u2014 finds waves which have an attachment where [keyword] occurs in the caption.<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Status<\/p>\n<p>is:read \u2014 finds all read waves.<br \/>\nis:unread \u2014 finds all unread waves.<br \/>\nNote: you cannot currently do a search like \u201c-is:read\u201d by itself and get reliable results due to an outstanding restriction on megastore queries<\/p>\n<p>is:mute \u2014 finds all muted waves.<br \/>\nis:unmute \u2014 finds all waves not muted<br \/>\nis:active \u2014 currently the same as is:unread.<br \/>\nis:note \u2014 finds all waves which have you as the only participant and contributor<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Participants<\/p>\n<p>from:[address] \u2014 finds waves from the participant identified by the address. Special case of from:me identifying waves from yourself.<br \/>\nby:[address] \u2014 same as from:[address].<br \/>\nto:[address] \u2014 find waves which are a dialogue between you and the participant identified by the address.<br \/>\nwith:[address] \u2014 find waves that have the participant identified by the given address explicitly listed.<br \/>\nowner:[address] \u2014 find waves by person, that they created.<br \/>\nonly:[address] \u2014 finds waves to which only the participant specified by the given address contributed.<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Date Search<\/p>\n<p>Currently, there are a few restricts:<\/p>\n<p>past:[date term] \u2014 finds all waves in the last period.<br \/>\nprevious:[date term] \u2014 finds all waves in the period before the last period.<br \/>\nbefore:[date term] \u2014 finds all waves before a certain period.<br \/>\nafter:[date term] \u2014 finds all waves after a certain period.<br \/>\nwhich can be combined with date terms:<\/p>\n<p>day<br \/>\nweek<br \/>\nmonth<br \/>\nyear<br \/>\nSo you can have past:week, past:year. There is also support for<\/p>\n<p>past:N[date term] where N > 0. So you can have past:3days (today, yesterday, the day before yesterday).<br \/>\nAlso you can have<\/p>\n<p>past:Ndays<br \/>\npast:Nweeks<br \/>\npast:Nmonths<br \/>\npast:Nyears<br \/>\nFinally, you can abbreviate days, weeks, months and years to a single letter (d, w, m, y). Thus you can write<\/p>\n<p>past:3d<br \/>\npast:2w<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Folders<\/p>\n<p>in:[folder name] \u2014 find waves in the folder with the given name. For example, in:inbox.<br \/>\nin:[search name] \u2014 find waves in the saved search with the given name.<br \/>\nis:unfiled \u2014 find waves which have not been moved to a user folder.<br \/>\nis:filed \u2014 find waves which belong to some user folder.<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Attachments<\/p>\n<p>has:attachment \u2014 finds waves with an attachment. This changed from \u201cis:image\u201d.<br \/>\nhas:document \u2014 finds waves with an attachment which is a document. (coming soon)<br \/>\nhas:image \u2014 finds waves with an attachments which is an image. (coming soon)<br \/>\ncaption:[keyword] \u2014 finds waves with an attachment with caption containing [keyword].<br \/>\nfilename:[keyword] \u2014 finds waves with an attachment with filename containing [keyword]. (coming soon)<br \/>\nmimetype:[keyword] \u2014 finds waves with an attachment with mimetype containing [keyword]. (coming soon)<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Tags<\/p>\n<p>tag:[tag name] \u2014 finds waves with the tag [tag name].<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Gadgets<\/p>\n<p>has:gadget \u2014 finds waves which contain a gadget.<br \/>\ngadget:[keyword] \u2014 finds waves which contain a gadget with name containing keywords. e.g. chess, fridge, map, risk, sokoban.<br \/>\ngadgeturl:[keyword] \u2014 finds waves which contain a gadget with urls containing keyword.<br \/>\ngadgettitle:[keyword] \u2014 finds waves which contain a gadget with a title containing keywords.<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Expressions<\/p>\n<p>foo &#038; bar \u2014 match waves with foo and bar.<br \/>\nYou can use AND, or skip the operator altogether, as the logical and is the default.<br \/>\nfoo | bar \u2014 match waves with foo or bar (or both).<br \/>\nfoo OR bar \u2014 match waves with foo or bar (or both).<br \/>\n-foo \u2014 match waves that do not contain foo. (There is an outstanding bug that causes searches with only negative terms to fail. To get around it, use to:me -foo)<br \/>\n\u201cfoo \u2026 bar\u201d \u2014 matches waves that contain the exact phrase \u201cfoo \u2026 bar\u201d (There is an outstanding bug for live search not working with phrases)<br \/>\nfoo &#038; (bar | -baz) \u2014 matches waves that contain foo and either bar or do not contain baz.<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Phrases<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[multiple terms]\u201d \u2014 match waves with one or more terms in sequence:<br \/>\n\u201chot dog\u201d catches waves with the terms hot and dog in sequence. This is also required for other operators such as in:\u201dnew inbox\u201d where say \u201cnew inbox\u201d is a saved search.<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>XML Search<\/p>\n<p>tags:subtag \u2014 find all waves which have this combination.<br \/>\ntag:[tag] \u2014 find all waves which have this .<br \/>\nattribute:[value keyword] \u2014 finds all waves which have < \u2026. attribute=value \u2026> where keyword is a token in value.<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Wave ID<\/p>\n<p>id:\u201d\u201d \u2014 find a wave with a specific wave id.<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Zero Inbox<\/p>\n<p>If you want to zero inbox, you can hack this temporarily by saving a search \u201cmy inbox\u201d with the query:<\/p>\n<p>in:inbox is:unread this:week. You can then use the menu option \u201cMark as read\u201d in the wave panel.<br \/>\nAlternative zero inbox: in:inbox is:unread past:7days -is:mail<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Saved Searches<\/p>\n<p>A search can be saved using one of two methods:<\/p>\n<p>Create a search in the search box and then press the Save search button at the bottom of the Digest panel.<br \/>\nAdd a search using the searches Add button on the Navigation panel. Then add the search query and name of the search in the Saved Search popup panel.<br \/>\nSaved searches can be edited and managed using the pop-up menu which shows when hovering over the saved search in the searches section of the Navigation panel.<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Filters<\/p>\n<p>Filters are saved searches which also have an action to apply to all waves which match the saved search. The actions supported are<\/p>\n<p>skip inbox \u2013 removes the wave from inbox. Whilst this wave continues to match the search, it will continue to stay out of the inbox. Skip inbox will shortly be renamed archive.<br \/>\nmark as read \u2013 Whilst the wave continues to match the search, it will be marked as read.<br \/>\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Folders<\/p>\n<p>You can add a folder by using the Add button on the folders section of the Navigation panel.
